Before more people misunderstood "KVETCH" as a person name, perhaps I should explain the meaning a little.
Kvetch actaully meant to complain and whine. This blog named "Kvetch Haven" so that I can complain a little, whine a little about life. Of course, this blog will not be solely on constant whinning and complain.
Was Mary Magdalene Married To Jesus?

A very very interesting documentary I came across on Discovery Channel. This documentary lasted for 2 long hours and triggered many thoughts within me while viewing the documentary show.
The documentary is trying to unlock more things from the best selling mystery novel by Dan Brown: The Da Vinci Code. The program pose questions like was Mary Magdalene the wife of Jesus and if they did have a child named Sarah, if there is a secret group that is trying to protect their descendants thus forming King Aurther 12 Knight of the Round Table. From a hidden document in the France library, there is a Dossier Secrets that instinctively mentioned that Leonardo is one of the important in this secret society in France and many more other investigations.
Here is some of the more interesting portion that I remebered from the documentary. In this documentary, they did a study on a painting of the "Last Supper" done by Leonardo Da Vinci. In this painting, Jesus is having his last supper with his 12 disicples, as I have posted below ( Image was from here)
Looking at the painting, a viewer might noticed 3 distinctive points within it - the figure on Jesus right
- Their gap that form a letter 'V'.
- The missing golden goblet that Jesus used
Although the figure on Jesus right looked very much liek a female to me, some of the authors interviewed during the program insisted that this figure is one of his follower, John, that was described as a young and beardless male. In the interview with Brown, he mentioned that the 'V' space as seen actually indicate that the figure is a female and she is the goblet of Jesus. Ok, that is so much that I've remembered for the "Last Supper" deciphered code by the author.
They also mentioned about on Jesus resurrection day, Mary Magdalene was the first to witness this and when she try to touch him, he said to her, "Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" (John 20:17, NRSV) This is the translation of Latin phrase "Noli Me Tangere" into modern English. However, as mentioned in the documentary the word "Tangere" also meant hug or embrace, some little indications of the relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Below is a picture I've took from a site in the internet.
In the documentary, they also tried to find out more about an Egyptian girl, named Sarah, who followed Mary Magdalene, together with her family to the coast of France. (Read here to find out more) Coincidently, the name "Sarah" meant princess in Hebrew and this little girl's "age is right" at the time the ship arrived at the coast in A.D. 42
There are many investigations that were being conducted in the documentary. It is quite impossible for me to list out everything. It also mentioned that Jesus could be an MCP (male chauvinist pig) as it is very much a male dominated society during that phase of time. And because of that Mary Magdalene could be a victim and hence being labelled as a prostitute. Male followers are also unhappy as Mary Magdalene was always very close to Jesus, and in this documentary, some interviewers quote from the Bible (i believe), but I cannot remember the exact words. I do sense some jealousy in the usage of words by Jesus disciples though. This documentary made me want to grab Dan Brown's book immediately.
