Before more people misunderstood "KVETCH" as a person name, perhaps I should explain the meaning a little.
Kvetch actaully meant to complain and whine. This blog named "Kvetch Haven" so that I can complain a little, whine a little about life. Of course, this blog will not be solely on constant whinning and complain.
My Point of View on Local Opposition

If I were a member of the opposition party, I will make time to meet up with the people who stays in the constituency that I am vying for; listen to the woes of the residents and write in to the RC of that area to get help.
Really hate to see the opposition parties appearing only near the General Election period and tried to pull votes with empty talks. Why did they say "IF we win the election, we will... ..."
Why "IF"?
IF you don't win the constituency, you will not do what you mentioned and don't give a damn about?? So, helping residents with this and that are nothing but bullshit? Why did you join politics? What makes you join politics scene, to get in the limelight once every couple of years?
I am just voicing out after chatting with a friend over the phone. He told me that without a chance to be in the limelight it's a waste of time to do what I have mentioned at the beginning of this blog.
After giving some thoughts to what he said, I kinda agreed with him..
Most members of the opposition parties should be holding a full time job. (ha! isn't that the vicious cycle of Singapore life that is molded by the very party that they are going against?) It's really crucial to have enough limelight to get noticed. However, local media are controlled, media materials are all selectively announced and reported. This makes life as an opposition who tries to help his residents tough.
IF there are someone from the opposition who is willing to care for his resident as primary task and getting in the limelight as secondary importance, he wins my respect!
